Peracetic Acid - 15% PERASAN

NVIRO TECH'S PERASAN is a mixture of 15% peroxyacetic acid and 22% hydrogen peroxide. It is ideal for use in cooling towers and pulp/paper mills.

PERASAN is unsurpassed as a sulfide and odor-reducing agent, and is second only to ozone in its oxidation capacity. It is also used as an additive in water that contacts fruits and vegetables, and is approved by the FDA and the EPA for these uses.

Enviro Tech's PERASAN contains the lowest levels of acetic acid of any formula of its class. Thus, due to the high active oxygen levels and low acetic acid content, it does not contribute to the BOD requirement associated with water measurement. It is essentially "BOD neutral," meaning that the released oxygen essentially satisfies the BOD requirement to reduce acetate to carbon dioxide.

Enviro Tech is working toward having this product approved as a wastewater treatment to replace chlorine, due to its more favorable environmental profile. In addition, PAA in conjunction with UV provides the most effective dual disinfection alternative for the 21st century.

Many new uses and approvals are planned for 2004. Stay tuned.
